The reported withdrawal demand
A consumer report dated 8 October 2026 identifies chargepnt-evplug.com and describes a demand for a tax payment before a withdrawal. The report characterizes the case as impersonation involving the Charge Point name. That is the reporter's account; it does not establish a connection with the legitimate ChargePoint business.
Before paying a release fee
If you are told to pay a separate tax or fee before accessing a balance, pause before sending more money. Ask for a written explanation and independently check the identity of the party requesting payment. A familiar business name or logo in a message does not establish who is behind it.
If you have already paid
Contact your bank or payment provider promptly using its official contact details. Keep transaction records, messages and screenshots, and do not give anyone your passwords or one-time codes. If you have been affected, you can contact the desk.
